Biography
Skullcrawlers are a species of subterranean, hypervorous reptilian predators endemic to Skull Island. Bipedal with long, serpentine bodies, they use their powerful forelimbs and whip-like tails to hunt with devastating efficiency. They emerge from underground vents to feed on any available prey. These creatures were responsible for wiping out Kong's entire family, establishing themselves as the apex predators of Skull Island's subterranean ecosystem. The largest known specimen, dubbed "The Big One" or "Skull Devil," was killed by Kong during the 1973 Monarch expedition. Apex Cybernetics later captured a specimen for use in Mechagodzilla testing.
